A fun watch that may provide you with inspiration for how to create your own solutions. I saw something really cool on LinkedIn, too, recently. I wish I had saved it. A highly flexible piece of furniture. I think it was Dutch. I repurpose a lot of stuff and that too can turn into aContinue reading “Space-saving furniture”
Here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-50856193 These folks live in Hastings, which is totally not in Wales. Maybe I missed something. They’re about to hit the road with their small son. What triggered it for them was a missed mortgage payment.
Plus tour of Amsterdam and Camping Zeeburg. I’m not gonna tell you guys where to buy your chips. (Although I happen to know a place in Southampton that’s won a few national competitions, the chippie around the corner from where I live is pretty good too. That was the fourth local chippie I’d tried; theContinue reading “Oh no! Ginjey Bear’s parked herself in a Dutch tree!”
He’s certainly picking all the tomatoes in life! (Plus he likes birds. The feathered kind!) He’s a bit like Mevi, methinks. In some ways. Or maybe Mevi is a bit like him. But in other ways, Mevi and Andy are opposites.
With Tom and Brooke. And Thor the dog. In the UK, highway rest stops are called “services”. You’ll see the signs along the motorways and you can fill up on lots of things there. They’re a little bit like miniature airport surroundings, without the planes and stuff, where you can also fuel up your vehicle.Continue reading “Come along on a drive to Cornwall!”
Surely, Stormzy is not the only one who feels this way. I decided that I’d better let everyone digest the news that we are in for several years of undiluted Tory abuse in the UK before I broke into the topic of what this may mean for van lifers.
There are lots and lots of travelling nurses.
I’ve heard back from her! She gets her glasses from SpecSavers and she’s also just gotten some from https://www.firmoo.com/
I just ran into the (award-winning) documentary Finding Fukue, about Toronto-based musician Jessica Stuart’s quest to find her childhood friend Fukue. Jessica lives in Japan for a year, when her parents taught English there. This is older work by Jessica and her band. It’s jazzy, this.
I love all the wood, but look also at the knobs used for the cupboards and everything. I hope he won’t build that wooden table just yet, because that would turn the plastic table into waste, likely.
It may help those who are offended that I categorize her as an older woman – which I understand! – to know that I have a few years on her and I know that she and I in theory still have about half a life ahead. That is so funny about people who consider everyoneContinue reading “I like her energy”
That project of hers sounds wonderful! I was thinking she should do this here and then she said that she hoped to do this in many places around the world.
Coffee first! (Look at the comments.) LOL
Alright alright, they’re stuck in Peh-namaw now. So they’re no longer vanlifers, right? Hah hah. I’d love to be stuck that way. Kaylee, well, if you see some of her more showy videos, you might not be that impressed if you’re into authenticity and you might wander off. But you’d be so wrong and you’dContinue reading “I love Jordan and Kaylee!”
I can’t help but notice how often it happens that people are telling the camera that they’re not going to get the van ready in time… Then they show us a van filled with tools but not much of anything else, adding that they need to be out of their brick-and-mortar home in a weekContinue reading “THAT makes me feel a lot better!”
This van surfer ain’t Scottish, though. I like the design. Lots of wood! A van build by Rustic Simplicity, apparently. I haven’t found the large ceramic bowl that she uses as a sink, and I wouldn’t want one for a sink, but if you do, maybe this large plant pot or this 29-cm bowl belowContinue reading “A Scottish van called Moragh”
